About The Author

Janet Stewart was inspired to write Hiring Well: Building Strong Selection Practices in K-12 to share her passion for human resource and hiring practices in the K-12 sector. With over 20 years as an educational and human resource leader, she has overseen significant recruitment and selection efforts at the school, district and provincial levels. She currently supports educational and human resource leaders across Canada as they strengthen their efforts to create healthy, diverse, and inclusive schools and workplaces.

In addition to her teaching degree and Master's in Adult Education, Janet has extensive training in conflict resolution and mediation. She is a Certified Organizational Coach, a member of the International Coaching Federation and is a Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP).
